I am Roy Sealy, the owner of The Pros-Painting. Someone recently asked me “What has happened to the painting profession?” I believe what they meant “Why has the quality of work declined while prices are increasing?”
Since we have been serving the Huntsville area for over 40 years, we have observed cycles of growth and decline. Invariably, when the Huntsville area is in a growth cycle, there is an influx “painter wanna be” workers. They perceive painting as a way to make quick money without having to take on the expenses of running a real business. They are not properly insured, bonded or licensed. They use inferior paints. Their employees have no benefits. They don’t depend on their customer base for repeat business or 5-star referrals.
